Terry, you will find that Ireland is full of townlands called Carhue (I am from Ireland). This is because it is an Anglicization of the Irish word "ceatharu" meaning "quarter" (ceathra is the Irish for 4). One Carhue that I know is in the Galtee Mountains just outside of Kilbehenny near Mitchelstown, Co. Cork but close to the Tipperary border.
