Yes, how the Sheffield connection came about is kind of odd, but we have come across odd connections before when family had a different slant on a story and it was necessary, shall we say in a diplomatic way to correct the family story! We have only started on the Wilson side of my wife’s tree this August following a chance meeting with a relative.
We are here in Ireland and we didn’t know that, 2 miles away in Ballymoreen graveyard there where family buried. Also Graigue is only about 5 or 6 miles away. We plan to go hunting tomorrow to locate that building in your photo, a long shot. . . . fingers crossed.
I also noticed on the note with the photos of the house that the address was, Graigue McCarthy Thurles; this should read Graigue Moycarkey Thurles.
