I am looking for more information regarding Michael Murphy, born 1830/1850.

It is thought he was a member of the Royal Irish Constabulary, probably in Co. Tipperary where he is known to have married, had children and possibly died.

The family have been told he was killed while on duty with the Irish Constabulary around 1884.

So far I have been unable to find any records confirming the above.

Can anyone help?
