A neighbour is researching the family of Hugh McGINNIS or McGUINESS born around 1769, tried at the Dublin Assizes for the theft of some cheese and transported to Norfolk Island per the Queen in 1791. The family settled around the peninsula in southeast Van Diemans Land or Tasmania from 1800.
