Hi. Charles Farrell remarried in Australia to Charlotte Meredith. Charlotte was the daughter of Frederick Meredith who arrived in Sydney on the First Fleet as a crew member. Frederick was on board the HMS Sirius which was wrecked on Norfolk Island on the return journey to England to obtain assistance for the colony. Frederick eventually returned to London, and after resigning from the navy, obtained further passage to Sydney.
Charles and Charlotte Farrell lived for a time in Sydney, later moving to the Port Macquarie, NSW area. The family became quite extensive, many descendants remain in the area, but the family can be found distributed throughout the eastern States of Australia. The family acquired extensive agricultural holdings in the Kempsey hinterland and were major Hereford cattle breeders in the area. Another descendant was Colonel William Thomas Farrell who headed the Australian Colonial Armed forces through the 1890s through the early years of the 20th Century, from Victoria Barracks, Sydney. Col. Farrell and his family lived at the Swan Isle estate, Addison Road, Randwick. http://mnclibrary.org.au/storage/farrell.pdf
