Seeking information on the family of DANIEL FRANCIS, born Tyrrellspass, West Meath, in 1810; the son of MATTHEW FRANCIS (b.1768) and ELEANOR MAHON FRANCIS (b.1766). Daniel emigrated to Boston, Mass., in 1830, worked as a stonecutter (the family trade) and eventually went to Harvard Medical School, class of 1847. From there he moved to Truro, Nova Scotia, eventually practicing in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, where he died Aug. 1867. Married Christie Ann Tupper in 1848. At least two of Daniel's brothers (he had 10 siblings) emigrated to Ontario, Canada, and Francis family reunions were held there as recently as the 1930's. Daniel's descendants all went to the US during 19th C.
