Here is some more James records I got from Sean O' Neill in Dublin. Some of these records I may have included in other emails but this bunch concerns mainly the Coolruss James's connection:

Note from Sean O’Neill He saw lots of James recorded in this register which starts in 1792
But the only relevant extracts would be these.
Ralph James and his wife Elizabeth
These had an address : COOLRUS
They had the following children:
• Elizabeth baptized 17th October 1803
• Ann baptized 16th June 1805
• Mary James who married RICHARD O’DONOGHUE baptized 24th June 1810
• Helen James baptized 24th June 1810
NOTE FROM SEAN
All associated with COOLRUS ALIAS COOLROSS.
For some reason none of the Donoghues are buried in the graveyard and there
Is no further record of this family either in the marriages, baptism or burials. Could
They all converted to Catholicism after 1810 (it has happened often). We know RALPH
had eleven children by 1827. No others listed in this register or in the RC register which only starts 1832 -33 or so. Ralph born 1777 or so and would not have married I suppose until 1797 or after but did not marry in this parish.
In any cse we know the O’Donoghues did not turn religion It was Mary James who did that . So the O’Donoghues we know know now are buried in St. Bridges R.C. Cemetary.
Notice in the deaths there is a Ralph James age 25 died in 1847. I believe that 2 in the twenty five is really a 7 which would make Ralph about 75 when he passed on.
Also picked up from Farrer's Index to Irish marriages 1771-1812 the following:
Perrin Miss to Capt Ralph James 1803. I reckon this was Ralph's marriage prior to leaving for Egypt where he obtained the rank of Major in 1805.
Hope this information is of some use Brian
