I have been searching for descendants of Peter Mitchell (1826 -1904)& Margaret Kemp (1826 - 1898) that resided at Esquibuie in the parish of Aberlour, Banffshire; Issue - Isabel Jan. 1849, Robert Feb. 1851, Mary June 1853, John 1855, Jessie Oct. 1858, Peter Jul. 1860, Daniel Sept. 1862, William 1866, James 1868, George 1872; Robert and John were masons & builders in Huntly, Daniel was a mason and builder in Aberdeen. I would certainly appreciate information of the Aberdeen family. Known facts : - Grace and Kate Mitchell worked in Isaac Benzies and Daniel had a bakery in Holburn St., Aberdeen.
It is known that some of the Huntly Mitchells emigrated to British Columbia.
The Mitchell family,(alias McAndy) originated in the Parishes of Inveravon and the Kemps in the parish of Aberlour, has been researched back to circa 1750. Any descendants any wishing to obtain information on the research that has been completed, please contact the subscriber by E-mail or through the Aberdeen & NE Scotland FHS, Mem No. 5972.
