My 2nd Gt.Grandfather Alexander Johnstone Warden, the Dundee historian had 10 children and 2 emigrated to Canada. His eldest son, John William Warden was born in Dundee, 13 Apr 1835. I wonder if he was the chief steward on the ship URURA.?????
Now I understand why it has been so difficult for me to trace some of my ancestors.
First of all they travelled from castle to castle with the FORFAR MILITIA and later generations sailed around the world.
So for those researchers running up against BRICK WALLS perhaps your relatives instead of living in brick houses are AT SEA, SAILING ROUND THE WORLD IN SHIPS !!!!!!!!!!
