My great (& great)grandfather had an estate at Inistrynich on Loch Awe, near Dalmalley, Argyll. William MUIR was the father,(1801-1880) from Leith, and William Campbell MUIR (1846-1899) was the only son. He married Annie Stevenson ESDAILE of Rescobie, and they had 10 children at Inistrynich, their home. Esdaile MUIR, their son, inherited the lot and sold it in about 1912. They had several yachts that plied the Loch, and/or were berthed at Oban, the GRIFFIN, the OTTER, the NORMA, the EOTHIAN,and the DRUID. Some members of the family are noted or buried in Loch Awe. Village church,to which they had donated the organ. Any information or stories on this family would be appreciated.
