My ancestors were originally named McClanaghan but changed to McClanathan in the early 1900's. My great grand-father Henry moved from Ontario, Canada to Charlevoix, Michigan around 1888. He had 7 children: Edward, Harry, Margori, Albert, Walter, Ida and James.

Hi Robbie

I am a fellow Howat researcher interested in Ayrshire Howat's.

I have looked into the Howat's from Sorn.

I am intested in finding out more about Andrew Howat and Christian Reid as I only found their daughter Sarah.
Did you find a birth for Andrew, Sarah's brother?

If so where and when was he born?

Do you know anymore about this family?

I would be pleased to share infromation.
