Ramshorn I expect will be from the area around St Davids (Ramshorn) Church in Glasgow, Lanark near George Square.

Hugh Campbell b 1694 in Galston Married Mary Paterson b 1684 in Galston, marriage took place in Sorn in 1706. This information was given to me about 5 years ago. Would anyone have more information about these people as that is all I know except they are my ancestors.

Just researching into my families past and im just wondering if anyone has any information on the Mclachlans of Sorn in the 1870's/80's. My Great grandad James Mclachlan was born to Martha Mclachlan in 1879 and his brother John 1877. That was her Maiden name. However there is no record of who their Father was. Rumour has it the father was of wealthy backround and considered a "gentleman" and thus covered up as Martha was a mere House Maid.

Does anyone have information on this?
