I would like to make complete families of each of the married children of David & Margaret - like I done with my ancestry of course I know it is easier to do with United States ancestry than - Scottish - this is what I have on David and Margaret - and the children of Sabina and James Burns - - this was all hired done by the Scots Ancestry Research they only done a direct lineage down to David - I have been filling in the sourcing with the IGI, Census, and the British Isles Vital Records CD Set from the LDS Library - If you contact me personally and want the sourcing I have I will e-mail you a full txt file of this generation - Here is what I have:

David married (MRIN:127) Margaret Mc Illwraith/Mc Illlwrath-330 on 24 Dec 1771 in Ayr, Ayr, Scotland.
They had the following children:

2 M i. Thomas Mc Qualter-478 was born 26 Mar 1775 and was christened 2 Apr 1775 in St Quivox and Newton, Ayrshire, Scotland.
+ 3 F ii. Sabina Mc Qualter-317 was born about 1778 and died 14 Sep 1860.
Second Generation
3. Sabina Mc Qualter-317 (David) was born about 1778 in Kirkmichael, Ayr, Scotland. She died 14 Sep 1860 in Kirkoswald, Ayr, Scotland. Sabina married (MRIN:124) James Burns-316. James was born about 1778 in , Ayr, Scotland. He died before 1851 in Scotland.

It is said that the family is tied into Robert Burns (the poet) lineage but missing is at least one generation if not 2
or more to make the connection if at all ever possible; is it not true that everyone with the name 'Burns" is told
that their line is that same as that of the dear poet? one time or other - that family tradition is. . . Researching
Robert Burns' lineage has not help to prove or disprove this statement.

This was hired out mainly to the Scots Ancestry Research back in 1977-9 and 1986; the information in the source
is as presented to me with no book, page etc. referenced etc. Since then I have used online resources that are "
FREE" and access by other means to try and document the family history more and substantiate what the Scots
Ancestry had done I have proven what they done is accurate and added things that they did not find at the time.

5 F ii. Mary Burns-318 was born 23 Mar 1805 and was christened 24 Mar 1805 in Dailly, Ayr, Scotland.

6 F iii. Jean Burns-319 was born 4 Jun 1807 in Ayr, Ayr, Scotland and was christened 7 Jun 1807 in Ayr, Ayr, Scotland.

7 M iv. David Burns-309 was born 2 Sep 1808 in Colmonell, Ayr, Scotland and was christened 6 Sep 1808 in Colmonell, Ayr, Scotland. He died 7 Aug 1884 in Thornhill, Morton, Dumfriesshire, Scotland. missing 1851 census for the entire family Found Janet with her fat her James Boswell Children 22 and under that should be listed at home:

Linlithgow, West Lothian, scotland. Janet was born 1801 in Inverkeithing, Fife,
Scotland. She died 7 Feb 1876 in Thornhill, Morton, Dumfries, Scotland.
8 M v. John Burns-320 was born 8 Aug 1809 in Straiton, Ayr, Scotland.
9 F vi. Anne Burns-321 was born 14 Nov 1816 in Straiton, Ayr, Scotland.
10 M vii. Robert Burns-322 was born 15 Feb 1819 in Straiton, Ayr, Scotland.
