There is a book published last year by James Andrew Begg entitled "The Man's The Gowd" for a' that. He is a retired Medical Doctor who is directly related to John Broun of Priesthill ( his spelling ). The second Chapter of the book is headed " 1666 The Christian Carrier ". The third Chapter is headed " 1685 John Broun of Priesthill "
The book is written in the Scots language and may be difficult to understand but there is a Glossary at the end of the book as well as a table showing the author's lineage to John Broun of Priesthill.The book is published by Carn Publishing of Auchinleck,
