Hello R.McV. My Grandmother's name was Mary Morton Sandilands (Thomson). I found , on the Morton site, someone looking for info. on a John Morton and Mary Sandylands from Loudon, Ayrshire. Darvel is right next door to Loudon and my grandmother was related to the Morton's of the Darvel lace factory. Mary Morton married Robert Thomson - these are my gggrandparents.
