Hello everyone. I am new to this board and to searching for my family. I have quite extensive records, from about my great-grandfather down, with information about current relatives in Scotland. However, I am desperately trying to find some record of my great-great grandparents. They were married in St. Andrew's Church in Kilmarnock on 24Nov1871 - Bryce Cumisky and Jane Dunlop Hepburn.

Maybe someone here knows a Cumisky they can put me in touch with.

Their surname has a different spelling in the 1881 Census. You should be able to find their marriage record at
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk which will give the names of their parents. When searching for the marriage, you can use a wild card to get over the problem of the different spelling.

Hi Irene,

Thanks so much for these records. This Bryce will be my great-great grandfather. Our information is very slightly different, but all the children line up about right. After the Maggie, that you have listed, there were other children and Peter immigrated to Canada (with 2 other siblings) and is my great-grandfather. So, though I have this info it is fabulous to have found them. We have had a terrible time. Thanks so much for the wildcard hint!!!.

There is so much for us to learn here so I really appreciate the assistance.
