I can not confirm whether Janet Law who married 1772 John Fife is connected to John Law who married 1769 Janet Fife.
However, Robert Fife m. 1742 to Elizabeth Robison as the son of John Fife and Janet Orr... I do have the father as John Fyfe (Fife), but not Janet Orr (I did not know who the mother was). Hopefully Janet Orr is the missing person. Thank you for the information.
The Children of Robert Fyfe (Fife) and Elizabeth Robison are:
1. John b: 1744
2. Janet b: 1749 married 2 May 1769 at Kilbirnie to John Law b: 1750
3. Margaret b: 15 Jun 1755 possibly married George Logan
4. Elizabeth b: 12 Oct 1761 married 16 May 1783 Kilbirnie to James Logan b: 28 Dec 1757.
There may be other children but I do not know them.

Hi Rhona,
It is really confusing as there were so many people with the same names from the same places and then, the intermarriages as well!
I do not know the parents of William Law and Jean Allan, and only have one of their children, John, who married Margaret Walker. Most of the information I have deals mainly along the Walker side, marriages and children etc. Sorry I can not be of more help.
