Darvel Burring Ground?

Hello I don't if anyone can help, but I found some information
I wanted to confirm because I'm visiting Scotland Sept 2007.

My gggrandfather Peter McKenzie and Archibald Craig were supposed to have owned a burial "GRAFF" in the northmost part of the Darvel Burring Ground? These burials were prior to 1850. I'm trying to find out where my ancestors are buried. Here's the burials I'm talking about:

5 June 1843: Agnes Mair daughter of the deceased William Mair (mason) of Darvel & grand daughter of William Gemmal (carter) of darvel. She is intered in the northmost "GRAFF" in Peter McKenzie/McKinzie's & Archibald Craig's late in Darvel Burring Ground.

11 November 1843: Jean Morrison/Gemmal wife of William Gemmal (carter) of Darvel. She is intered in the northmost "GRAFF" of the late Peter McKenzie/McKinzie (weaver) of Darvel & the late Archibald Craig (weaver) of Darvel. The "GRAFF" now belongs to Hugh Aiton (weaver) of Darvel.

There's other burials mentioned but I'm not sure if they are buried in the same cemetery.

30 June 1845: Miny Colgreen/McKinzie wife Duncan McKenzie/McKinzie (labrourer) of Darvel. She died in child birth bed giving birth to twins of which only one survived.

17 June 1852: Jean McKinzie daughter of Duncan McKinzie (labrourer) of Newmilns. She died of small-pox.

22 June 1852: Janet5 McKinzie daughter of Duncan McKinzie (labrourer) of Newmilns. She died of small-pox & is intered in the same "GRAFF" with her sister mentioned above.

25 September 1854: Infant child of Duncan McKinzie (labrourer) of Newmilns. Duncan is the son-in-law of Thomas Arnot (labrourer) of Newmilns.

22 Dec 1855; mary MCKinzie/Arnot wife of Duncan McKinzie (labrourer) of Newmilns & daughter of Thomas Arnot (labrourer) of Newmilns. She died in child birth bed.

24 April 1857: Colin McKenzie son of Duncan McKenzie (labrourer) of Newmilns.

If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

hi,
i don't know if there is a connection, but i have a ancestor who was called Hugh Aiton,b.1803 d. 1887, a weaver from darvel. He was married to a Elizabeth Craig, b.1804 d.1850, who could be a relation of your Archibald Craig. Which would explain why Hugh Aiton owned the Graff.
yours
michael
