I am researching the McConnachies of Glenrinnes, specifically Nether Belandy. I understand that the McConnachies were in the Belandy area for at least two hundred years. My particular interest is Jean ('Jane') McConnachie born in 1852 and married John McCulloch at Nether Belandy in 1884. Jane's parents were William McC. and Isabella Kemp (William was born in 1810; parents Alexander McC. and Janet Cameron).

I have identified ten children for William and Isabella but can find no record of their marriage or indeed, of Isabella's birth or death. She would have been born around 1818-1820 and might be the daughter of Charles Kemp and Margaret Shand who were having their family about that time.

Does anyone have Isabella in their database or can supply information about the McConnachies of Belandy?
