Am searching for the birthdate and parents of Alexander HENDERSON who married Helen KERSS (CARSE) on 25 Jul 1753 in Coldstream, Berwickshire. Their children were: Thomas (7 Jun 1754-13 Oct 1754) baptised in Coldstream; Thomas baptised 3 Apr 1756 in Greenlaw; Agnes baptised 26 Feb 1757 in Hilton; John baptised 30 Aug 1761 in Barry, Forfarshire; James baptised 24 Jun 1765 in Barry; Alexander bap. 27 Aug 1767 at Hilton, died 28 Feb 1768 in Barry; Alexander bap. 24 Feb 1770 in Barry; Patrick (Peter) bap. 12 Jul 1771 in Barry, George bap 12 Nov 1774 in Barry; Charlotte bap. 16 Sep 1779 in Perth.

Alexander HENDERSON was an Excise Officer. Sometimes “in Carnoustie”. He had a daughter, Margaret by a first wife. Margaret was born in 1751 in Chirnside, Berwickshire and married William Peddie in 1784.

Think Helen KERSS is the daughter of Gawin and was baptised in 1734 in Coldstream. Her surname is spelled both CARSE and KERSS in various records. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
