This is very interesting - what is the source of the will? I am hunting down the parents of Donald Swanson, b. 1827 Thurso to, I think, Alexander Swanson and Janet McBeath (sp?). One of Donald's sons was named Donald Sutherland Swanson, so there is likely a connection there as well. Any further info? According to my info, he emigrated about 1859 and was a bookkeeper in Mobile, Ala, moved to Buffalo, NY in 1865 or so and died there in 1882.
