I live in Lynchburg, Virginia, USA now, but I have a trip back to Australia every year to visit my Mum (Phyllis Nairn.) My Dad, Don Nairn, passed away in 2007. I am considering returning to Australia to live once I retire, and I am hoping that will be sooner rather than later.
You probably know that our Murray ancestors lived in the colony of South Carolina between the late 1740s and 1765. (They were smart to return to Scotland before the American Revolutionary War.) Anyway, two brothers, John and William, owned a plantation in South Carolina. Early next month, I will have a trip to that part of the US, and I hope to be able to go to visit the site of their former plantation, which is a now very expensive resort community. Could you give me your email address? If I can take any worthwhile photos, I will share them with you.
