John Frood of Kirkstile is my husband's great grandfather so we look forward to reading the clipping.
I'm doing a fair bit of Dumfriesshire research at the moment, as I'm doing a module for an M.Litt on Scottish Sources. I'll be at the Dumfries Archives next week! It's relatively new for me researching in that area of Scotland. My husband's uncle, another John Frood, did a great deal of research there, so I left well alone and focused on my own Scottish lines. The course I am taking is introducing me to many records that I've not explored before.
