Surnames: HERIOT,SINCLAIR<HORSBURGH
I am looking for anyone connected with this line. If my info is right I have them around 1214 with Willo de Heryt,then WilliameHeryot around 1333 , then James Heriot of Niddry Marischal, then John Heriot,1st Laird of Trabroun, was granted the lands of Trabroun , for military servie,by Arcdhibald,Earl of Douglas in 1423,Then George Heriot, tenant farmer in Long Niddry in 1549, George Heriot,tenant farmer Long Niddry,died 1625, Robert Heriot, tenant farmer Long Niddry died after 1667, George Heriot,tenant farmer of Castlemains,Dirleton, and Chamberlain to Sir John Nisbet,
b.1636 d. 1692-1698 married about1662 to ????Ferguson
JOHN HERIOT b.1664 d.1725 m.1685 Jane SINCLAIR
JAMES HERIOT b.1700 d.1762 m.1735 JANET HORSBURGH
WILLIAM HERIOT b.25 Aug.1745 Castlemains,Dirleton d. 10 Nov.1807 Georgetown South Carolina,USA. He was my 4th great grandfather.
Would like to know if any relivetives are still living in that area of Dirleton?
