Dear Helen,
So wonderful to read your response - I was hoping that someone would still visit this thread (or be notified of responses.) I am going to scan and email you two documents I have (I'll try to attach them here as well), both of which mention Father Coll and Clementina. In particular, one excerpt that you may find interesting is this:
"The other brother was named Coll and became the honoured and revered Father Coll Macdonald... For the next fourteen years Coll lived and worked at Laggan, and no man could better him at the hunting or fishing, in athletics or at shinty. His life changed with the sudden and untimely death of his younger and favourite sister Clementina. He decided to enter the priesthood."
Unfortunately, it doesn't mention anything else about Clementina, but she is definitely mentioned as his sister in this document. I also have her listed as one of five siblings on another document. I am not sure where my father obtained these files, and unfortunately he has passed away. However, I do plan to contact a relative in the UK (Colin Macmillan, I'm not sure if this is the same Colin who started the thread or not - I believe he is descended from Catherine's line, as am I...), and perhaps he has more information.
Anyways, I am very interested in any information you have - I enjoy filling out any information available, and the Macdonald line is certainly abundant and interesting :) Please feel free to respond here, or to my private email:
