I am trying to find out more about Anthony Rigg B1791 Farmer who married Mary Allen B1801 England. In 1841 Census the family were living at Torrcatune Urr Kirkcudbrightshire. Son William Rigg B1837 came to Australia where he died in 1883. They have 10 children on the census entry and a Governess and 3 servants so they appear to be quite well off. In 1851 Mary is a widow living with one daughter and 1 servant at Craignair St Dalbeattie. In 1871 she is still alive and living with 2 daughters, 2 sons and 1 servant at Barnbarroch Cottage Colvend. Can anyone help please.
