I am looking for any information regarding William Main and Elizabeth Paton (Patton).

Through FamilySearch's website, I located a marriage record for WIlliam Main and Elizabeth Paton. They were married March 27, 1832 at Kirkcudbright, Kirkcudbright, Scotland.

I also located birth and baptism records for David Main who was born January 13, 1836 and baptized February 12, 1836 at Balmaghie, Kirkcubright, Scotland. David's parents were William Main and Elizabeth Paton.

I believe that William and Elizabeth are my 3rd great grandparents and that David is my 2nd great grandfather, and that they all emigrated to Canada around 1838. They lived in Frontenac County, Ontario, Canada. David and his family emigrated to the United States sometime in the 1860's.

Any information regarding the Main or Paton families would be greatly appreciated.
