Yes, that is the info that we have. We are from Illinois originally where James Rintoul b.1825, d. 1894 in Dow, Illinois is located. He is (maybe?)my husband's grandfather's grandfather.

There seem to be a lot of Rintouls (not related) in Canada. But our line is not as prolific. Names from Rintouls in Dow from the late 1800's (My husband's g.father and g. uncles: Grandfather =Oscar; Great uncles Archie, Glenn; Great Aunt=Reda. Probably others, I need to look at other info.

There is a Dr.David Rintoul in Kansas; he is a Biology PRof. He is also from this line. I haven't talked/e-mailed him, but our son in New Mexico has. From what I remember, when we gave him some of our info, it plugged into several blanks that he had.

As it happens, we are going back to Dow on Wed. 8/29 to spend a few days with our families. We retired last year and plan on visiting more often now.
