Thanks for your quick reply per the "oops" The next person I need some help on is an Alexander NICOL, who was born in 1796 per tombstone, and died in 1869 He married Janet KIRK apparentely by 1821, when their son William is born in Orwell Parish, where the rest of their kids are also born.
He and his wife should both be in the censuses of 1841, 51, and 61. If I can find out where they were born from the census records, I can most likely figure out who the parents are from the IGI. Thanks for any help you or anyone else can give me.
