I am currently researching the Munsie side of my family.
My GGGGGrandfather John Munsie [Stocking Weaver]married Helen Tripney 1797 in Linlithgow, they then moved to Glasgow and had 4 sons that I know of. Robert, John b 1798, James b abt 1800 and William b 1801.
James [Joiner] married twice, first to Rebecca Wilson in 1818 and secondly to Janet Rae in 1824, William [Teacher] married Rosalinda Croom 1847.
James and Janet had 5 children that I know of, William b abt 1829. Robert b abt 1831, Isabella b abt 1836, James b abt 1840 and Janet Rae b abt 1842.
William and Rosalinda had 2 children that I know of Robert George b abt 1851 and Ann Croom b abt 1849.

William [UP Minister] married Mary Graham 1866 in Perth and they had 2 children that I know of James Thomas b 1870 Colington and Helen b 1873 Colington.
Robert [Plasterer] married Jessie Samuels 1855 they had 9 children, James b 1856, Jessie Brown b 1858, Helen b 1860, Janet Rae b 1863, Isabella b 1866, Charles Samuels b 1868, Jessie Brown b 1870, Robert b 1872 and Robina b 1878.
Isabella married James Brown 1864 and had 2 children Janet Rae Munsie b 1865 and Andrew b 1867.
James married Elizabeth Gall Davidson 1867 and had 12 children James b 1868, William Davidson b 1870, Janet Rae b 1872, Archibald Davidson b 1874, Elizabeth Gall b 1876, Isabell Brown b 1879, Thomas King b 1881, John Thomson b 1883, Charles Samuels b 1885 d 1886, Robert b 1885 d 1886, Charles b 1887 d 1887 and Robert b 1887 d 1888.
Janet Rae married Thomas King 1866 and they had 4 children Janet Rae b 1867, Robina b 1869, James b 1871 and Mary Graham b 1874
Children of James and Elizabeth Gall Davidson
William Davidson married Margaret McColl and had at least 1 son James.
Archibald Davidson married Matilda Moreland 1896 they had at least 5 children James b 1897, Archibald Davidson b 1899, Alexander Moreland b 1900,Matilda Moreland b 1904 and William Davidson b 1906.
If anything looks familiar or you can connect to one of the above families I would be pleased to hear from you. My mother was an only child and always said that she had no other Munsie relations in the Glasgow area, but looking at the 1881 census there were quite a few families all living very close to each other and I am trying to connect them.
Any info would greatly be apprieciated. Hope this message is not too long.
