Cosmo Reid Gordon was the Rector of Chetwynd. He was the son of William Gordon a mason in Edinburgh and Anne McLeod. Ann was born in Golspie Sutherland Scotland chr 14 aug 1795 to Martin McLeod and Elspeth McRay. Elspeth died soon after and Martin McLeod married Mary McDonald. Their last child was born in Canongate, Edinburgh ie Cosmo Falconer McLeod on 31 August 1814. I am in contact with a descendant of Helen McLeod (sister of Anne) who married Robert Gass who went to Nova Scotia and then returned via Dumfries to Edinburgh.
