no info re Eliz. Much later what still irritates me is JMB Wright's entry in BLG: Wright of Auchinellan/ shud have been AT rather than OF. As I always say, when the Major General in Pirates of Penzance is urged to flee as the pirates are coming for him, he says he cannot flee and shame his ancestors - whose portraits line the walls. One dau points out that they are'nt HIS ancestors - he bought them with the house! Right!
