So glad not to have the Main family in my tree :-) as there were so many in Nairn.....

I was just entering a family from the burial records at the Kirkton of Ardersier.

There was an Alexander Main b. abt. 1771 who married an Isabel Ralph and had several children in Ardersier. I do not know where Alexander was born as he died in 1832 prior to the 1841. Isabel Ralph was born abt. 1773 Ardersier (according to the 1851).

You list an Alexander Main b. abt. 1770 Nairn to Alexander Main and Isabel Ralph. It is a slim possibility but perhaps this Alexander (b. 1770) also married an Isabel Ralph and settled in Ardersier.

Although I could not locate a marriage record, the children are listed by "old" family search, batch 7027801 as well as being indexed by scotlandspeople
