I have also replied to you on the proboards. My tree is on Genes Reunited. Not sure where you come into the tree, but George and Helen were my GGG grandparents. I am in NZ, but most of my line are in Scotland. There are some in Australia, mostly Jacksons (from Great aunt Barbara) and a whole raft in Canada, under the name of Croy- My great aunt Elizabeth Mary Shearer emigrated with her husband Thomas Croy in the early 1900s.
The Elizabeth (1849-1885) you mention would be the older sister of my Great grandfather Peter Miller Shearer 1851-1935. They were the children of Peter Miller Shearer (1822-1902)and Elizabeth Flett. They also had a daughter Georgina born in 1853.
Elizabeth 1849 married Robert Miller and they had 8 children.
There is more, hope this has helped so far
