BUCHANAN family in Doune and Kilmadock

I am trying to trace the Buchanan family that were in Doune and Kilmadock in the 1700's. I have a Colin Buchanan b.9/4/1781 in Doune, d.9/7/1860 Rothesay, Buteshire. He married Catherine Downie 4/29/1809 in Greenock West, Renfrew. He was the son of Andrew Buchanan and Florence Henderson who were married 4/3/1779 in Kilmadock.

I am trying to trace back further, so I am looking for more information on Andrew Buchanan and his wife Florence and their 9 children: Margaret [2] Colin [2], Archibald, John, Isaac, Jean, and Andrew.

If you have any information or suggestions, please let me know. I did go through the records in Edinborough on my last trip and got as far back as Andrew and Colin. I am assuming they came from the clan around Loch Lomond, but I really need some concrete info.

Thanks - Karen
