My gr,gr grand was William Bayne. Christened in Perth, 1778, joined the military at age 22 years in Perth, Scotland. Served until Oct, 1829 when he was retired from service for health reasons in Dublin, Ireland. He began duty several years before in the local militia in Perth.
His parents are George Bayne & Mary Dewar, married in Maderty, Perth in 1758. He had a brother George christened in 1776, Perth and a sister, Margaret Bayne christened in
1764, Perth. I am looking for family connections and will be happy to share their descendants info in America.
His outfit was the 2nd Dragoons at Waterloo, later called the Royal Scots Grays. Claire
