I'm a Pennycook descending from a James P. (b: 1796) in the Blairgowrie area. His father's name is John Pennycook/Pennycuick and he was married to a Jean McDonald in 1785 in Moulin, Perth. They settled in Clunie.
Though I've got the info that John was born in 1752. On the other hand I've found that there is another John, born in ca 1760. Their father's name is David P., mother's name Jean Young (?). Maybe the first John died in early age and was succeeded/replaced in 1760?

I should be glad to know more from you. I have got some more info from a 5th cousin in Scotland and we make some research together.

By the way, do you happen to know anything about a William P., b: 1836, in Lethendy, Perth? He arrived in Lyttleton by the Cameo in July 1859.
