I am looking for information regarding Alexander McLennan, a native of the Parish of Contin, Ross-shire, Scotland. He was born in either 1772 or 1773 in Scotland, and emigrated to Roger's Hill, Nova Scotia, Canada in the 1830s. He was married to Nancy McKenzie also a native of the Parish of Contin, Ross-shire, Scotland who was born in 1788 and died on Christmas Eve 1853. Alexander died on the 5th of September 1843 (aged 70 years), and had eight children (Roderick (born around 1808 in Scotland), Charles, Donald, Colin, Nancy, Peggy, Annabella, and Bella). Both he and his wife are buried at St. John of Scotland Cemetary, Scotsburn, Nova Scotia. I would be interested in finding out any information regarding Alexander's family in Scotland, and what they did there. I understand a number of McLennans emigrated to Australia around the same time, and I am wondering what their relation (if any) to Alexander was. Any information that could be provided would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks.
