I'm looking for information about the family of Walter SCOTT, born 1827, possibly at Linlithgow, Scotland, but living in Galashiels from 1841 to 1854 when he emigrated to Ontario, Canada. I believe his family were from Selkirkshire: father James Scott,innkeeper, and mother Ann (maiden name unknown).
