I am one of the joint maintainers of the Shetland Family History Society database. This is currently running at 147,000 names and is constanly being updated and corrected.
The data is that which has been extracted from OPR records, census returns, civil register returns, and many other varied sources.
I am more than happy to assist anyone who needs any help, as long as they are able to give a few details of their own family line, so that it can be incorporated into the database.
