My gg-grandfather, Donald John MacDonald (1856-1932) was a son of Archie MacDonald (1808-1891)married to Catherine Boyd. They held crofts 4 and 11 in Torlum. Archie was the son of John MacDonald and Marion MacDonald who held croft 1. John's son Donald also settled on croft 1.
