Charles Mclean (1800 -1874) was married to Nancy (Anne) McLean (1802-)at the Gut of Canso in Cape Breton on the 23 April 1825, both having immigrated from Scotland. They settled in Grand Anse Richmond County where at least 7 children were born. Around 1842 the family moved to Beersville, Kent County,
New Brunswick where they are buried. The children were Lauchlin 1829, Alexander 1831, Donald 1833, Angus 1835, Hughan 1837, Isableea 1839 and Archibald 1841. I am searching their origin in the Hebrides and so far have ruled out the Island of Rum, birthplace of many Gut of Canso McLeans. would appreciate any information
