I have somewhere around 400 - 500 McSwan's here in Australia.
Originally 4 brothers from the Isle of Skye sailed to Australia n a ship called 'Midlothian' which arrived in Sydney on 12 Dec 1932.
The parents of these brothers are recorded as :

Hugh (Ewan) - No surname
and
Ann McSween

I would like to track back the McSwan's of Australia into Scotland but have no idea whether the name was changed and how to go about doing it.
