Im researching my McClinton family of Stoneykirk? Kirkmaiden? I have found both location mentioned in census records and know that there is a single memorial for several McClinton family members in Kirkmaiden Cemetery. My gggrandparents were William and Mary(Gribbin)McClinton,and were the parents of several daughters and one son(my ggrandfather,Robert).. Im wondering if there are any genealogy sites with locals willing to do obit look-ups for that area or if anyone has any ideas or tips on researching this family outside of Ancestry? I have found census records,but I am looking for a little more info(i know its a lot to hope for:) Thanks for your time,Jodi....
