Hello Gwyneth
Yes John Williams of Carnan is Michael's father. They are both mentioned in the will of a Thomas Parry of Pentraeth - who we across by accident whilst my friend was looking for another Thomas Parry of Pentraeth and we couldnt believe that John Williams seems to be main executor but that Michael was also mentioned as well as John being named as the son of Thomas Parry's sister Catherine Parry the wife of Robert Williams of Glan y Gors.
So yes I do look at the wills quite often just in case I come across someone I might recognise.
All Michaels children by his first wife - yet another Mary Jones of Llanfihangel Ysciefiog are actually baptised in Penmynydd parish register and the address given is Carnen, Carnen fawr etc. I found this summer Garnedd Coch - on the old map down as Carnen. Nowadays its nearer to Gaerwen than Penmynydd but there was a non confirmist chapel y carneddi
closeby too.
Thanks for the infor about Henry and Owen williams. I shall check them out.
thanks again and all the best
Menai
