Edward Owen(s) born Anglesey, Wales abt 1810 - son of a Blacksmith

Classification: Birth
Surnames: Owen Owens
I've come to a brick wall with my ancestor Edward Owen (or Owens) born on Anglesey in about 1810. He married a Sophia (surname unknown) in 1831 (or thereabouts) and by the 1841 census they are living in Llangynwyd, Glamorgan. Later censuses show that the children were born in Llangyfelach, Glamorgan (Swansea) so I presume they lived there first after leaving Anglesey.

Thanks to the 1851 census, Edward's mother Elizabeth is living with him in Llangynwyd, putting her birth year at 1772. She is a 'Blacksmith's Widow', born in Amlwch, Anglesey.

After this point, I'm completely stuck - none of the BMD searches are good matches and it's the only link I have to a major branch of my family coming to South Wales.

Can anyone help me go back any further?

Many thanks!
