A number of people in the States are researching the name YEARGAN/YEARGIN/YEARGEN/YEARGAIN/YERGIN. The earliest record we have is about 1735 in Brecon, Wales. Supposedly Samuel and Andrew YEARGAN were born there and then emigrated to the Colonies, probably Virginia before 1756 when Andrew married Oney Bowles. Reportedly, Andrew was a lay Methodist Episcopal minister and Samuel was a physician. ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Please be "creative" in spell ing the name, also.
