Again WOW. Thank you so much. I knew his wife was Emiy but not the surname. All the stuff I fould on ancestry would show a marriage date but now Who the person was. I did find a census record that showed him married to a Emily. So you live in this area?? I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate the help you are giving me on this. I did look another site and found marriage records with the name of John Simons (lots of them) and looked them over and decided that the one you pointed out as Elinor Hughes as being John SR's wife could be the only correct one. Now I have another problem with John Jr's wife, her name was ANN - I found two marriage records one for Mar 1868 of John Simons marrying a Ann Evans and another for Oct 1869 marrying a Anne Davies. Both in Brymbo, Denbighsire. Either fits??? I would love to see the map. Also good to know what Pentre means. So that is the Village of Broughton? Right. Because I would have wrongly thought Pentre was the village name. Thanks so much, Betty
