Can anyone please help further our Jones/Roberts family history research.

Unfortunatley we do not have much info on the Jones line. Ann Jones was my 2x great grandmother. There is conflicting information on her birth. The only definitive census records 1871 and 1881 suggest she was born c 1846 in St Asaph. Her death certificate of Nov 1886, however, suggests an age of 43 years giving an earlier date of 1842/43 in St Asaph.

Ann married Hugh Roberts(location unknown in spite of much searching)The 1871 census shows them married and living in lodgings at 28 Chester Street, Wrexham. Ann went on to have her first child Martha in May of that year back in St Asaph and my great grandfather also Hugh Roberts in Rhosymedre in 1873. Thereafter there were two further daughters.

We would appreciate anyone looking up the St Asaph parish records for the period 1842 to 1846 as it may give more information regarding parents/siblings names and resolve where and when Ann was born.

Thank you.

Julie
