Yes plenty of mailing lists.
Bufton is basically a Welsh/English border name. During my research I have come across researchers for the two major family groupings in Wales and Hertfordshire (which is close to the Wales border). Many of the Hertfordshire lines can trace the family back to Wales. In Shropshire the name Bufton goes back to the early 1600’s. A genealogical site state that the four main counties where the highest cluster of the Bufton name can be found are Hereford, Worcester equal numbers, Powys (Wales) and Shropshire. There were three families in Portsea. No apparent connection between the name Bufton and Buffingtont or no more than any other variations of this name.
